This year, we partnered with Wichita, Kansas, to address the persistent violence affecting their neighborhoods. In the first 3 months of the program, the results have been inspiring:

• 5 gun violence mediations that prevented retaliation
• 3 fights defused before escalating to gun violence
• 10 other incidents stopped from spiraling into violence
• 61 families connected to vital services

The impact is clear and deeply meaningful. As Marquetta Atkins-Woods, founder of our local partner Destination Innovation, shared:

“The impact they have is organic, it’s natural. They’re [violence interrupters] out here building trust. They’re working in schools. They’re out in the community getting in front of the violence.”

Your support makes this work possible. Together, we can continue empowering communities like those in Wichita to prevent violence and save lives.
