Cure Violence Global (CVG) is pleased to announce that one again we have been ranked #9 in NGO Advisor’s 2021 report of the Top 200 NGOs in the world, one of the definitive international rankings of non-governmental organizations. This is the third year in a row that CVG has been listed in the top 10, and the seventh year in a row in the top 20. We are pleased and honored that the work that Cure Violence Global is doing has been recognized and view it as a tribute to the “firstline” workers at our partner sites and our extraordinary staff, board, donors, and partners. This ranking is also a reminder that violence is one of the most important global issues and that violence itself prevents progress in so many other areas.

CVG first entered the NGO list in 2012 at #30 and we have consistently moved up the list as our work has expanded into new places and to address new types of violence. As of 2021, CVG has worked across five continents in more than 40 cities across 16 countries training hundreds of workers every year, and this work has resulted in the interruption of thousands of potentially lethal conflicts and large reductions in violence in some of the neighborhoods previously plagued by very high levels of violence.
